**After My Son Died, His Heart Saved a Young Woman — Then His Letter Exposed My Late Husband’s Secret**

Four years after losing my husband Daniel, I lost our 19-year-old son, Ethan, to a neurological disease.

Before he died, Ethan asked to donate his organs. His heart went to an 18-year-old girl named Lily.

At his funeral, Lily’s mother, Rebecca, handed me a letter.

“Mom, Lily is Dad’s biological daughter.”

I could barely breathe.

Inside were records showing Daniel had sent Rebecca money for eighteen years. Had he been supporting another family while I struggled to pay our bills?

I searched his old paperwork and discovered Lily was named in his will.

I confronted Rebecca.

“Ethan knew Lily wasn’t Daniel’s daughter,” she told me. “He wanted you to find me.”

Rebecca revealed that her late husband, Michael, had been Daniel’s business partner. Daniel had made an investment, falsified records to blame Michael, and allowed everyone to believe Michael was dishonest, even after he died in a car accident.

The payments were Daniel’s attempt to make amends and support Michael’s daughter.

Then Lily walked into the room, one hand resting over her heart.

“Ethan knew I needed a transplant,” she whispered. “He chose to help me.”

My son had left me more than a letter. He’d given a family a second chance.
