**My Husband Cheated, but My Mom Told Me to Stay for Our Son—Then My Dad Made One Phone Call That Changed Everything**

I discovered my husband’s affair on an ordinary Thursday evening. Heartbroken, I told my parents I wanted a divorce.

My mother’s response devastated me.

**”All men cheat. Don’t ruin your son’s life over something small.”**

My father sat silently beside her, refusing to look at me.

Feeling completely alone, I stayed.

For days, I slept in the guest room while my husband acted like nothing had happened. I smiled for our son’s sake, but inside, I was falling apart.

Then one afternoon, something unexpected happened.

I arrived at school to pick up my son, but he wasn’t there.

My phone rang.

It was Dad.

**”Come to the address I’m sending you. Your son is safe.”**

Terrified, I drove across town.

Dad was waiting outside an apartment building, holding my son’s hand.

Inside was a newly furnished apartment, complete with everything we needed.

I stared at him in disbelief.

**”This is the start of your new life,”** he said.

He explained that he’d heard Mom’s words and needed time to think.

“My daughter will not sacrifice her happiness because someone betrayed her.”

I burst into tears.

Dad helped me through the divorce and stood beside me at every step.

Today, my son and I live peacefully in that apartment.
