The ceremony was beautiful. Vows were exchanged, applause filled the room, and I remember thinking, This is it.<\/em><\/p>\n

Then, as we were leaving the venue, my long dress brushed my heels and I stumbled\u2014just slightly. Instinctively, I reached for my husband\u2019s hand.<\/p>\n

Instead, he looked at me with irritation and said, loud enough for others to hear,
