I was about six years old, sitting at a big family dinner surrounded by everyone\u2014parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents. It was one of those loud, cozy meals where everyone talks over each other and laughs between bites.<\/p>\n
Out of nowhere, I stood up and announced, \u201cGrandma! Should I tell everyone what you and Grandpa do when you\u2019re both in your room?\u201d<\/p>\n
The entire table went silent.<\/p>\n
Forks froze mid-air. Conversations stopped instantly. My grandma turned pale, stuck mid-bite. My grandpa looked like he might drop his fork any second. You could feel<\/em> the tension.<\/p>\n But I had no idea why.<\/p>\n I was just excited to share what I thought was a fascinating \u201csecret.\u201d<\/p>\n So I proudly shouted, loud enough for everyone to hear:<\/p>\n \u201cShe makes him fold the laundry!\u201d<\/p>\n For a split second, there was complete silence.<\/p>\n Then the whole table exploded in laughter.<\/p>\n My grandma covered her face, half embarrassed, half laughing. My grandpa shook his head, smiling, and said, \u201cWell\u2026 she\u2019s not wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n And just like that, the tension vanished.<\/p>\n Looking back now, I realize how dangerously that could\u2019ve gone in a very different direction.
