I became a pediatric nurse, partly to cope, partly because I never stopped searching for her in every child I saw. On the exact anniversary of her disappearance, a little girl named Kelly was rushed into my unit after an accident. When I finally looked at her face, my heart nearly stopped\u2014she looked exactly like my daughter at that age.<\/p>\n

Then she said something strange: \u201cYou look like my mommy.\u201d<\/p>\n
