The day my husband left, our son Henry was only hours old. Doctors had just explained that he would face motor impairments and need years of therapy and support. While I held our newborn in my arms, my husband Warren looked at him coldly and said, \u201cI\u2019m not doing this.\u201d Then he walked out of the hospital and never looked back.<\/p>\n

From that moment on, it was just Henry and me. I raised him alone through exhausting years of therapy sessions, school battles, sleepless nights, and financial struggles. After ignoring his son for 25 years, he contacted Henry and asked to attend graduation. I didn\u2019t want him there, but Henry invited him anyway.<\/p>\n
