One night, I stopped by a grocery store at 2 a.m. to pick up a few things. The store was nearly empty except for a cashier and a man who kept staring at me in a way that made me uncomfortable.<\/p>\n
Wanting to get home quickly, I paid and left.<\/p>\n
A few minutes later, I heard footsteps behind me. When I turned around, it was the same man from the store.<\/p>\n

My heart immediately started racing. I quickened my pace, but he continued following me down the quiet street.<\/p>\n

Everything seemed to stop.<\/p>\n

The man appeared confused and insisted he hadn’t done anything wrong.<\/p>\n
The cashier quietly explained that employees had noticed the man lingering around the store late at night and occasionally following people outside. Concerned for everyone’s safety, they had already contacted authorities.<\/p>\n
When officers arrived, they handled the situation calmly and respectfully, helping connect the man with mental health support services.<\/p>\n
