A year after my breakup with Ryan, I had finally stopped thinking about most of the things he left behind.<\/p>\n
One of them was an old silver locket he had given me during our second year together.<\/p>\n
I never wore it much, and after we split, I tossed it into a bedroom drawer and forgot about it.<\/p>\n
Then one Saturday, my new boyfriend, Caleb, found it while helping me clean.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is actually really nice,\u201d he said. \u201cWhy don\u2019t you wear it?\u201d<\/p>\n
I laughed and told him where it came from.<\/p>\n
