My Sister Took My Puppy While I Was at Work Because Her Kids ‘Deserved Him More’ – But How I Got Him Back Changed Her Attitude Forever

My sister Daphne used her spare key to enter my apartment while I was at work and take my rescue dog, Barnaby.

Then she texted me:

“The boys deserve a dog more than someone who lives alone. We’re keeping him.”

When I confronted her, she told me to “be a good aunt” and let her kids have him.

I drove straight to her house.

Barnaby was terrified, surrounded by her boys pulling his leash and waving toys in his face.

I took him back.

But before leaving, I grabbed Daphne’s phone and joked, “If we’re taking whatever someone deserves, I’m taking this.”

Then I had an idea.

From her phone, I invited our entire estranged family to a surprise BBQ at her house.

Everyone actually came.

Then another man arrived.

Marcus.

Daphne went pale.

Her husband asked who he was.

Marcus looked confused.

“You invited me. You said you were finally ready for me to meet your family.”

The backyard went silent.

Then Marcus realized Daphne wasn’t separated like she’d claimed.

Even worse, he discovered she had three children—after she’d told him she had none.

Chaos erupted.

I quietly clipped Barnaby’s leash on, placed Daphne’s phone back on the table, and went home.

Then I called a locksmith.

Daphne had spent years deciding what she deserved to take from others.

She wasn’t deciding what belonged to me anymore.
