I Invited My Husband’s Coworker and Her Family Over — Then a Message Appeared on the TV

A few weeks ago, I noticed my husband smiling at his phone more than usual.
One evening, I saw the name of a female coworker pop up on his screen. The messages weren’t openly romantic, but they were frequent, personal, and definitely more intimate than I was comfortable with.
I didn’t confront him immediately.
Instead, I invited the woman, her husband, and their children over for dinner.
I only told my husband we were having guests.
The moment they arrived, his face went red.
That told me plenty.
Dinner was painfully awkward. Her husband seemed completely relaxed, while my husband barely spoke.
After we ate, the kids went into another room to play. I turned on the TV to put on a movie.
My husband’s phone was still connected to the screen from earlier.
Suddenly, a notification appeared.
It was from her.

“I can’t believe you invited us here. Does she know?”
The room went silent.
Her husband slowly turned toward her.
Then he looked at my husband.
“What exactly doesn’t she know?”
Neither of them answered.
I didn’t yell.
I simply said, “I think both of us deserve the truth.”
That night, everything finally came out.
They insisted it had never become physical, but admitted they had been hiding an emotional relationship for months.
By morning, two marriages were facing conversations neither couple could avoid anymore.
