They Tried to Cut My Adopted Son Out of My Life — So I Left Everything to Him Instead

I’m 78 years old. I raised my three biological children alone, and years later, I adopted Brandon. As they grew older, my biological children drifted into their own busy lives — but Brandon never did. He checked on me, helped me, and made sure I was never alone. I always planned to divide my estate equally among all four of my children, because in my heart, there was no difference between them.
But a few weeks ago, everything changed.
My oldest daughter arrived with legal papers giving my three biological children full power of attorney over me — and Brandon was completely excluded. She claimed I was becoming forgetful and needed “protection.” Then she accused Brandon of being in debt and hiding “problems.”
I didn’t argue. I simply asked Brandon later, and he was devastated. Every accusation was a lie.
That night, I realized what my biological children were trying to do: gain control of my money, my decisions, and my future — while pushing Brandon out entirely.
So I changed my will.
I left everything to Brandon.
Suddenly, all three biological children called, full of apologies and concern. But their intentions had already been revealed.
Now I’m left wondering…
Did I make the wrong choice?
Or did I finally make the right one — protecting the child who truly protected me?
