My Sister Wouldn’t Let Me Hold Her Newborn for Three Weeks Because of ‘Germs’ – When I Learned the Real Reason, I Broke Down

I can’t have children. After years of infertility, I stopped dreaming about nurseries and “someday.” So when my younger sister got pregnant, I poured all my love into her baby. I bought gifts, helped with everything, and couldn’t wait to be the best aunt possible.
But after Mason was born, she wouldn’t let me hold him.
At first, she blamed RSV season. Then she said he was sleeping, or had just eaten, or maybe next time. I tried to be patient. I sanitized, wore a mask, brought meals, ran errands, and waited.
Then I saw photos online. Our cousin was holding Mason. My mom held him too. Even the neighbor got “baby cuddles.” Everyone except me.
Something felt wrong.
One day, I went to her house unannounced. The door was unlocked. I heard Mason screaming upstairs while my sister was in the shower. I rushed in, picked him up, and noticed a Band-Aid on his thigh. It looked strange, like it was covering something.
The second I lifted the edge, my sister came running, panicked, begging me to stop.
What I saw underneath made my blood run cold.
Later, I ordered a DNA test using my husband’s hairbrush.
When the results came back, everything made sense.
Mason had the same birthmark as my husband.
That was how I discovered my sister and my husband had been having an affair for years.
