He made fun of an old woman in business class — but then the pilot said something that made everyone cry.

Stella, 85, nervously boarded her very first flight and made her way to her business-class seat, excited for a journey she had waited a lifetime to take.
But the man beside her, Franklin Delaney, immediately complained. “I don’t want to sit next to her!” he shouted, insisting someone dressed like Stella couldn’t possibly afford the seat.
Embarrassed, Stella offered to move to economy, but the flight attendant refused. “You paid for this seat, and you belong here,” she told her kindly.
After takeoff, Stella accidentally dropped her purse, and Franklin helped pick up her things. A ruby locket fell out, catching his attention. Curious, he asked about it, and Stella shared the heartbreaking story behind it—her father had given it to her mother before leaving for World War II, never to return.
As they talked, Stella revealed the real reason for her trip. Decades earlier, she had given up her baby boy for adoption because she couldn’t provide for him. Years later, she found him through DNA testing, but he wanted nothing to do with her.
Still, Stella had boarded the flight for one reason—her son was the pilot, and it was his birthday. She simply wanted to be close to him.
Then, just before landing, the pilot’s voice came over the speaker:
“Please welcome my birth mother, flying with me for the first time. Hi, Mom… wait for me after we land.”
Moments later, he rushed from the cockpit and embraced her as the entire plane erupted in applause.
