My Teenage Daughter Cut Off Her Hair for My Wig After Chemotherapy – The Next Day, Her Teacher Called and Said, ‘You Need to Come to the School Immediately – Officers Are Here Looking for Her’

I thought the hardest part of this year was cancer.

My daughter Ava is 15, and she’s been watching me slowly disappear through chemo treatments, exhaustion, and losing my hair. One afternoon she came home carrying a box and told me she had a surprise for me.

Inside was a beautiful wig.

Then she pulled back her hood — and I realized she had cut off her own hair to help pay for it.

I completely broke down crying.

The next morning, I went to chemo while Ava went to school. Hours later, I got a terrifying phone call from the principal saying police officers needed to speak with us immediately.

I thought my daughter was in trouble.

Instead, officers showed us a hidden box Ava had found at school containing old documents, financial records… and a recent photo of my husband Daniel.

The husband who supposedly died 15 years ago.

Police now believe his death was faked as part of a massive corruption scheme tied to an old children’s home and stolen trust money meant for Ava. Inside the box was also a handwritten letter from him.

It said:

“If you are reading this, I could not come back safely. Tell Ava I loved her every day I was gone.”

Now my daughter and I are driving to a small town called Marina Vale to find a woman named Rosa — the last person who may know the truth about my husband, our family, and why he vanished.
