THE STATE CALLED HER LICENSE PLATE INAPPROPRIATE AFTER 15 YEARS, BUT THIS MOM FOUGHT BACK AND WON

For more than 15 years, Wendy Auger proudly drove around New Hampshire with a vanity license plate that read “PB4WEGO”—a playful reference to the familiar parenting phrase, “Pee before we go.” It had always been a harmless family joke that brought smiles to strangers.

Then, out of nowhere, the DMV ordered her to surrender the plates, claiming they referred to “sexual or excretory acts or functions” and were therefore offensive.

Shocked by the decision, Wendy refused to back down. She shared the letter online, and the story quickly went viral. Thousands of supporters rallied behind her, calling the ruling ridiculous and pointing out that it was simply a funny reminder every parent has used at some point.

As public attention grew, the controversy reached New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu, who personally stepped in to reverse the DMV’s decision. In a message to Wendy, he apologized for the “bureaucratic holdup” and confirmed she could keep her beloved plates.

Wendy later celebrated the victory on social media, proudly announcing that her “PB4WEGO” plates were staying right where they belonged.

What started as a dispute over seven letters became a reminder that common sense—and a little humor—can still prevail, proving that sometimes even the smallest battles are worth fighting.
