At just 27, Presley Gerber had spent years speaking openly about mental health, addiction, and recovery. Following his sudden death on Sept. 20 at a Los Angeles rehabilitation facility, one of his final Instagram posts has taken on new meaning.
Months earlier, Presley shared his experience undergoing ibogaine treatment, admitting he was terrified but hopeful it would help him confront what he had been running from.
“I faced what I had been running from, and somewhere in all of it, I started finding my way back to myself,” he wrote.
His mother, Cindy Crawford, and sister, Kaia Gerber, publicly supported his recovery journey and praised his honesty.
Presley, who also worked as a model, frequently discussed depression and addiction and created “Mental Health Mondays” to encourage others to seek help.
His family has requested privacy. A cause of death has not yet been released, and an autopsy remains pending.
