A Server Told My Wife to Leave While She Was Feeding Our Newborn — Then He Explained Why

My wife and I had waited years to become parents, so when our son was finally born, every little outing felt special.
One afternoon, we decided to try a new restaurant near our home.
Everything seemed normal at first. We ordered lunch, found a quiet table in the corner, and tried to enjoy a rare meal outside the house.
Then our baby started fussing.
My wife covered herself discreetly and began feeding him.
A few minutes later, our server approached with an uncomfortable expression.
He looked at me and said, “I’m sorry, but your wife can’t stay here. You’ll need to pay and leave.”
I honestly thought I had misheard him.
I asked what the problem was.
That’s when he admitted another customer had complained and demanded that management make my wife stop feeding the baby.
I was furious.
Before I could respond, the restaurant manager came over.
But instead of asking us to leave, she apologized.
She told the server he had misunderstood the instruction. The customer who complained had actually been asked to move to another table if they were uncomfortable.
The manager then comped our entire meal.
A few minutes later, the complaining customer walked past our table looking embarrassed.
My wife just smiled and kept feeding our son.
For the first time that afternoon, everything felt calm again.
