Colombian música popular singer-songwriter Yeison Jiménez has died at the age of 34 following a tragic plane crash on Saturday, Jan. 10. The aircraft, registered as N325FA, went down between Paipa and Duitama while traveling to Medellín, according to Colombia’s Special Administrative Unit of Civil Aeronautics. Jiménez and several members of his team were later confirmed among the victims through an official statement shared on his Instagram account. His team expressed “deep sorrow,” remembering him not only as a talented artist but also as a devoted son, brother, and friend who inspired many through his life story.
Condolences were also extended to the families of the other victims: Jefferson Osorio, Juan Manuel, Oscar Marín, Weisman Mora, and pilot Captain Fernando Torres.
