I Refused to Let My MIL Meet My Baby — She Plotted a Cruel Revenge

I gave birth just 15 days ago, and I’m completely exhausted. My mom moved in to help while I recover and adjust to life with a newborn. I told my mother-in-law politely that we needed some privacy and that I’d let her know when I was ready for visitors.
But she kept calling every day. Finally, I said, “I don’t care if it takes months. I’m not ready yet.” She agreed… or at least I thought she did.
This morning, I woke up to my baby crying. My husband looked strangely pale. Then I discovered the truth: nine members of his family were already in our house—his parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews.
My husband had invited them without telling me.
When I confronted him, he brushed it off. “You’re overreacting,” he said. “It’s not like you had to cook for them.”
Meanwhile, my mother-in-law stood there with a smug smile, like she’d just proven a point.
I felt overwhelmed, betrayed, and completely disrespected. Without saying a word, I grabbed my purse and walked out of my own house in my pajamas.
Now I’m wondering—did I really overreact, or did everyone ignore the one thing a new mother truly needs: respect for her boundaries? 👶
