I Refused to Let My MIL Meet My Baby — She Plotted a Cruel Revenge

I gave birth just 15 days ago, and I’m completely exhausted. Between sleepless nights, recovery, hormones, and learning how to care for a newborn, I told my husband and mother-in-law one simple thing:
“I need privacy right now. I’ll let everyone know when I’m ready for visitors.”
My MIL kept calling every single day asking to meet the baby. Finally, overwhelmed, I snapped and said, “I don’t care if it takes months. I’m not ready yet.”
She went quiet after that, and I thought she understood.
This morning, I woke up to my baby crying hysterically. My husband looked nervous the second he saw me awake.
Then I found out why.
NINE people from his family were in my house.
His parents, siblings, nieces, nephews — everyone.
And nobody had even warned me.
My husband had secretly invited them behind my back because he thought I was “overreacting.”
When I confronted him, he shrugged and said, “It’s not like you have to cook or host them.”
But that wasn’t the point.
I was standing there sleep-deprived, bleeding, emotional, still healing, and suddenly trapped in a crowded house full of people after clearly saying no.
The worst part?
My mother-in-law looked at me with this smug little smile like she had finally won.
So I grabbed my purse, still in pajamas, and walked out of my own house.
And honestly? I still don’t think I overreacted.
