I Received 100 Yellow Roses While My Husband Was Away on a Business Trip – The Number of Flowers Made Me Call the Police

While her husband Daniel was supposedly away on business, Amber received a mysterious bouquet of exactly 100 yellow roses with no card or sender.

At first, she assumed it was a romantic surprise. But Daniel knew she preferred white roses, and he never made extravagant gestures. Then Amber discovered three roses marked with tiny red dots—a pattern she remembered from an old case her late father had investigated.

She called the police.

Detective Kellan, her father’s former colleague, immediately recognized the symbol. Twenty-two years earlier, three women had disappeared after receiving identical bouquets: 100 yellow roses with three marked flowers.

The situation became even more terrifying when police discovered Daniel had never gone on a business trip. Inside his office, they found newspaper clippings and handwritten notes about the old disappearances, making him the prime suspect.

However, fingerprints on the florist order belonged to Amos, another retired detective who had worked the original case. Amber’s father had secretly suspected Amos but never found enough evidence.

Daniel had discovered her father’s notes and was investigating Amos alone. The bouquet was bait meant to frighten him, and Amos had kidnapped him.

Police rescued Daniel from an abandoned cabin and arrested Amos. Evidence finally connected him to the three disappearances.

Amber realized the flowers had never been meant for her. They were a warning for the person Amos feared most—her husband, who was close to exposing the truth.
