The disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, mother of Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, remains unresolved months after she vanished from her Tucson, Arizona, home.

Recently, the discovery of human remains near Tucson sparked fears of a possible breakthrough. However, experts determined the remains were extremely old and unrelated to Nancy’s disappearance. An anthropologist said they could date back roughly 1,000 years, and authorities indicated the site was archaeological rather than connected to a current criminal investigation.
Nancy remains missing, and her family continues appealing for information. Savannah Guthrie recently renewed her plea for help, saying her family still hopes to learn what happened and bring her mother home.
