I Won’t Let My Husband Be a Birth Partner for His BFF, He’s Married — Not on Call for Single Moms

After years of infertility and loss, Jenna is blindsided when her husband—once her strongest support—suggests something unthinkable. His childhood friend Leah, pregnant and single, wants him listed as the baby’s father, calling him “the closest thing to a dad.” To Jenna, it feels like betrayal.

When she objects, her husband dismisses her pain, calling her selfish and saying this may be his only chance at parenthood. Then Leah sends a manipulative voice message, claiming Jenna “should understand” and threatening to lie that the real father is dead.

Devastated and furious, Jenna cuts off Leah and gives her husband a clear boundary: if he signs the birth certificate, their marriage is over.

Now she’s accused of issuing an ultimatum and resenting motherhood—while feeling erased, guilt-tripped, and pushed aside to make room for a fabricated fatherhood that excludes her entirely.
