My Husband Left Me for His Mistress—Then Karma Destroyed Their Perfect Life

My husband, Daniel, brought his mistress, Miranda, into our home as though she already belonged there.
She looked me up and down and laughed. “You weren’t exaggerating. She really let herself go.”
Before I could process the humiliation, Daniel calmly announced that he wanted a divorce. When I asked about our four children and the life we had built, he shrugged.
“You’ll manage,” he said. “Miranda is staying tonight, so sleep on the couch or go to your sister’s.”
That was the moment something inside me changed.
I packed our children’s clothes, gathered our important documents, and left that night. The divorce was painful, but I rebuilt our life slowly. I found work, rented a small apartment, and stopped waiting for Daniel to become the man I once believed he was.
Months later, I saw Daniel and Miranda outside a grocery store. Their expensive car was gone, their clothes looked worn, and they were arguing over money.
Miranda had emptied his savings and disappeared shortly afterward. Daniel had lost his job, fallen behind on support payments, and was living in a cheap motel.
When he saw me, he rushed over and begged for another chance.
“I made a mistake,” he whispered.
I looked at my children waiting beside me and replied, “No, Daniel. You made a choice.”
Then I walked away.
Karma wasn’t seeing him suffer. It was realizing I no longer needed him to regret losing me.
