I Came to My Wedding and Saw My Mom in a Wedding Dress with a Bouquet

I married Jack, a widower with three adult children. When we met two years after his wife passed, he was heartbroken, and his kids never truly accepted me. When he proposed, their disrespect only grew — though they hid it from him. I stayed silent to avoid family drama.
After our wedding, we flew to the Bahamas for our honeymoon. Two days in, all three of his children showed up unannounced.
“Daddy, we missed you!” they said to Jack. Then they turned to me and sneered, “Thought you’d gotten rid of us? This villa is too nice for you. We’ll take it. You can stay in the bungalow.”
Before I could react, we heard glass shatter.
Jack stood there, furious. I had never seen him like that.
“Are you kidding me?” he shouted. “You disrespect my wife on our honeymoon? I’ve supported you your whole lives, and this is how you repay me?”
They tried to explain, but he cut them off. “Enough. I’ve ignored your behavior for too long. This ends now.”
He immediately called security and had them escorted out of the villa. Then he called the bank and canceled all their credit cards, cutting off their financial support.
The following months were difficult for them, but they were forced to learn responsibility.
Eventually, they called with genuine apologies and asked to start over.
Jack looked at me with tears in his eyes. “Of course we can,” he said.
And slowly, we rebuilt our family.
