My MIL Turned My Bathroom Into a Spa Using All My Stuff So I Planned the Perfect Revenge — Story of the Day

At first, I tried to be understanding.

My mother-in-law Linda was only supposed to stay with us for one week after a pipe burst in her apartment. But within days, my home no longer felt like mine.

She replaced my framed photos with giant portraits of herself. Filled every room with perfume and potpourri. Used my expensive skincare products without asking.

Then one night, after an exhausting day at work, I walked into my bathroom and froze.

Linda was soaking in MY tub.

Using MY bath gel, MY candles, MY towel… like she owned the place.

When I complained to my husband, he shrugged and said, “Women share stuff, right?”

That’s when something inside me snapped.

A few days later, Linda invited her friends over for a “small gathering” — while wearing my brand-new blouse and telling everyone the apartment was hers.

So I smiled… and let her friends explore the house.

My husband’s cologne mysteriously ended up empty. His tie collection got “admired.” Someone “accidentally” scratched his precious car.

Suddenly, boundaries mattered again.

By noon the next day, my husband was packing Linda’s bags himself.

That night, I finally enjoyed a peaceful bath in my silent home again.

Because sometimes, you don’t fight for your space.

You make people understand exactly why it matters.
