When my 19-year-old daughter Harper suddenly stopped speaking to her father, I assumed they had argued. Then a missing college payment uncovered a secret none of us expected.
Harper discovered that her tuition installment had been paid—but to another student’s account.
Days later, she called me from campus.

Graham had claimed for months that he was too busy to visit her. Yet Harper watched him hug a young man about her age.
